1. Data controller
The SnapWeb website is operated under the trade name «SnapWeb», Rue du Trône 120A, 1050 Brussels, Belgium. Contact: info@snapweb.be. The full legal name and BCE/VAT number will be added as soon as they are issued or provided.
2. Data processed
We may process your first name and surname, email address, telephone number, site address and location, project description, photos, type of work, indicative budget, timeframe, account details, professional profile, company registration number, trades, area of operation, messages, reviews, purchase and credit history, login details and technical information.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Publish, check and forward a request for work to the relevant professionals: carrying out the requested service and obtaining consent where required.
- Creating and managing accounts, profiles, credits, payments and authorisations: contract fulfilment.
- Preventing fraud, duplicate entries, misuse and fake leads: a legitimate interest in securing the platform.
- Comply with accounting, tax and legal obligations: a legal requirement.
- Sending marketing information: consent where required, which may be withdrawn at any time.
4. Sharing contact details
An individual’s full contact details are not made public. They are disclosed only to authorised professionals who have approved the request, up to a maximum of three professionals per project. Prior to approval, only the information necessary for assessing the project is visible.
5. Recipients and data processors
Data may be processed by the relevant professionals, our hosting provider, our technical service providers, WooCommerce, Stripe or other payment service providers, and our email, security, mapping and analytics service providers, solely to the extent necessary. Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, subject to the safeguards provided for under the GDPR.
6. Retention periods
- Active work requests: 15 days, followed by limited archiving for the purposes of evidence management, disputes and refunds.
- Accounts: whilst the business is operating, and for a reasonable period after the financial year-end.
- Payment and invoicing documents: retention period as required by accounting and tax legislation.
- Security logs: a limited retention period is necessary to prevent misuse.
- Data based on consent: until consent is withdrawn, subject to any legal obligations.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of your data; object to certain processing activities; request data portability where the conditions are met; and withdraw your consent at any time. Please write to info@snapweb.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: data-protection-authority.be.
8. Cookies and security
SnapWeb uses cookies that are necessary for the functioning of accounts, security, language settings and purchases. Non-essential cookies will only be set once you have made your choice, where consent is required. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures, although no system can guarantee absolute security.

Version dated 5 August 2026. This policy may be amended to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements.
